An overnight trip ruins relations among Amy, Jo and Meg. - TV Guide
An overnight trip to Boston turns into disaster for Jo, Amy and Meg, and leads to conflict among the Plumfield children. What was intended as a pleasant outing for the sisters turns sour when their horse is stolen by a woman whom they picked up along the road. After a nasty dispute, the sisters unwittingly lose themselves in the woods, and end up by running for their lives after they are chased by a bear. Straggling back to Plumfield, miserable and exhausted, they blame each other for the painful ordeal, and vow never to see each other again. Their animosity has a ripple effect at Plumfield, creating friction among the children. With Nick cast in the role of peacemaker, the sisters' anger with each other finally abates, and the terrifying experience becomes an opportunity for Jo, Amy and Meg to achieve a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other. - CTV
